Santiago City Highlights Tour

This is a great tour for history buffs and those who love to learn and admire the struggles that a country had to go through to reach where it is to this day. Enjoy this walking tour that will take you back in time and tell you about the history of the old Spanish colonial city of Pedro de Valdivia to a modern vibrating hub in Latin America that it has become today.

On this tour you will stroll through the maze of streets containing fresh fruit, vegetables and meat carts at La Vega and the fish market at the Mercado Central. Your expert guide will point out the historical building such as: neo-classical Moneda Palace (seat of the government), the Plaza de Armas (main square) and the Santa Lucia Hill where Santiago was founded in 1541 by Pedro de Valdivia.

After spending some time walking the streets we are sure you will have worked up an appetite! Your tour guide will take you to an excellent gourmet restaurant where we would highly suggest you take advantage of the wine tasting of some of the best Chilean wines. After lunch your tour will continue to the bohemian ambiance of the Bellavista neighborhood. Here, you will have the opportunity to have free time and do some leisurely shopping, visit the San Cristóbal Hill, have dinner in one of the many restaurants in the street of Concepción, or you can be chaperone you back to your hotel.
