Explore The Local Life In The Mekong Delta: Mekong Delta Bicycle Tour

This tour will allow you to explore, by bike and by boat, the array of paths and streams of waters that branches off the majestic area of the Mekong Delta.

DESCRIPTION

The day will begin with a two-hour ride from Ho Chi Minh City to the Mekong Delta.

Upon arrival, we will walk along Cai Thia canal to visit the Cai Thia brick factory, where bricks are still hand made. Later on, we will take a boat cruise to visit a local home where locals produce rice paper.

A 1-2 hour tour by bicycle will follow, riding along the small beautiful roads to explore the famous village of Hoa Loc. Along the way, we will see traditional houses made of wood and palm tree leaves and the local farmers with their daily lifestyle. Opportunities to interact with them and learn about the traditional methods they apply to fishing and fruit picking won't be missing.

We will then take a paddle boat cruise through the narrow canals of the Mekong and enjoy a lunch of some local dishes on the boat.

After Lunch, we will visit Cai Be Floating Market. The floating market is an attraction in itself, with a mesmerizing amount of small boats on which locals trade fresh goods and commodities.

At the end of the tour in the afternoon we will return back to Ho Chi Minh City by minivan.
