Artisan Village & Sculpture Park Tour

Enjoy a relaxing day of visiting a quaint artisan village of Los Dominicos and a delightful stroll through the open-air museum of Parque de las Esculturas (Park of sculptures).

This tour will first take you to the village of Los Dominicos. This is a lovely village located next to a beautiful church called La Iglesia San Vicente Ferrer, which is also a national monument. This village is famous for its arts and crafts and has 50 local shops that make unique items made from local materials. Some of the materials that the local artisans use are wood, straw and semi-precious stones including silver and Lapis Lazuli. Lapis Lazuli is a semi-precious stone that is actually only found in 11 different countries and Chile is one of them! This is a great stop to get a traditional handcrafted unique souvenir.

After spending time in the village you will make your way to the tranquil beauty of Parque de Las Esculturas, which is located in the middle of the city bordering the Mapocho river. In this park you will have the opportunity to see around 30 different sculptures created by Chilean artists. This is a great time to sit and relax on a bench or on the grass as the Chileans do and admire the unqiue pieces of art that lie before you.
